Most travel and recreational mobility devices do not meet the strict medical device rules that Medicare and Medicaid use, so they rarely qualify for coverage. We do not work with Medicare and we do not bill private insurance directly.

Some private plans will reimburse you outside of the Medicare framework. The best way to find out is to call your insurer and ask. If they say yes, we are happy to provide an invoice and proof of purchase so you can file for reimbursement.

Enhance Mobility backs the Roamate with a limited warranty. The frame is covered for 2 years and the motors, battery and electronic components are covered for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Normal wear items are not part of the warranty. That includes tires, plastic trim, the seat cushion and the backrest upholstery. Damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications or natural disasters is also excluded.

Folding is a single step. Release the latch and the frame collapses into a compact free standing package about the size of a checked suitcase. Opening it back up is just as quick, and there are no heavy sections to lift or wrestle with.

Top the battery up after your outings and store it charged. A full charge takes about 3 hours. You can charge it on the device or lift it out and charge it indoors, which is handy in an apartment or an RV. There is no fluid to check and no special routine to remember.
